Jonathan Gresham sets the standard for the Pure style of wrestling. A founding member of The Foundation, a group of wrestlers who are on a mission to “purify” pro wrestling, Gresham led the charge to resurrect the ROH Pure Title in 2020 and went on to win it in a tournament, putting his name alongside the likes of Bryan Danielson, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. With a repertoire of hundreds of submission moves and pinning combinations, Gresham can defeat opponents of any size or experience level.
After successfully defending the Pure Title for a year, Gresham lost it at Death Before Dishonor 2021. He immediately set his sights on the ROH World Title and defeated Brody King to become the No. 1 contender. Gresham will face ROH World Champion Bandido for the title at Final Battle: End of an Era on Dec. 11. Gresham first appeared on Ring of Honor Wrestling in the 2011 Top Prospect Tournament, and since then he has wrestled in 14 countries and on four continents. He and Jay Lethal won the ROH World Tag Team Titles from the Briscoes at Final Battle 2019 as well as ROH Tag team of the year award and Gresham won wrestler of the year in ROH's end of the year awards for 2020.
